Jon Moxley accepts challenge, set to team with former TNA star to face El Desperado and partner at NJPW STRONG Independence Day

Following up on a previous report of New Japan star El Desperado challenging Jon Moxley for a rematch from NJPW Music City Mayhem, the AEW star has issued a response.

Moxley addresses the challenge El Desperado made, talking about their previous encounter and looking ahead to the NJPW STRONG shows set for July 4-5 from Korakuen Hall…laying out a challenge of his own in the form of a tag team match in the process:

“You got a partner? I got plenty of partners. I got wrestling partners, I got training partners. I got a rap sheet in this business, and for this, I’m going deep, deep, deep into the history books. It’s gonna be me and ‘The Notorious 187’ Homicide against El Desperado and whoever you can drag to the table with you.”

Homicide is perhaps most notable for his time in Total Nonstop Action as part of the Latin American Xchange (LAX) stable, but was most recently seen competing in a tag match alongside Cyon against Komander and Octagon Jr. as part of a AAA/NWA cross-promotional event back in March.

The former ROH star has teamed with Moxley fairly recently in the past, as the pair were a part of a 12-person tag match at NJPW Night Before the Rumble on 44th Street last October.

The duo have also had their battles against each other as well, going as far back as CZW, ICW, and EVOLVE.
