According to Fightful Select, even though Ace Steel is back to work for AEW, he is not expected to be at any AEW events in the near future.
The report further notes that Steel was not in attendance for the premiere episode of AEW Collision at the United Center despite being in Chicago. Furthermore, it was said that Steel is reportedly helping with CM Punk’s storylines.
Prior to the backstage altercation that Steel was involved in at last September’s All Out, that got him fired from AEW, he served as a producer for the company from between March 2022 up until he had been let go. Just recently, Steel was hired back by AEW CEO, President and General Manager to help in a creative capacity. He has not been seen backstage at any of AEW’s events.
When Collision was announced back on May 15 at the Warner Bros Discovery upfronts, Punk was absent from promotional materials. It had then been reported that there were issues as it related to Steel’s role in the company. However, those issues had been quickly resolved as Khan began to promote Punk’s return at Collision’s premiere episode on the May 31 episode of AEW Dynamite. started promoting Punk’s return on the May 31 episode of “Dynamite.”
Steel and Punk have a long history as friends. Steel also also been one of Punk’s personal trainers.
