In response to a fan on social media, Kevin Kelly stated that he would be gone “at some point soon” from commentary on NJPW, but would still be calling NJPW’s Destruction event in Tokyo on October 9 and next January’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 and New Year Dash shows.
Kelly started doing English-language play-by-play for New Japan in 2015, being joined by Chris Charlton in recent years on commentary.
This past June saw a big change for Kelly, joining AEW to call Collision alongside Nigel McGuinness and Jim Ross on commentary.
