AEW star Jon Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito at Friday night’s NJPW Windy City Riot at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL to capture the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Moxley pinned Naito after he hit him with a Death Rider DDT. He also made history as the first wrestler to hold World Championships for WWE, AEW, and NJPW.
Moxley has been absent from AEW television due to taking time off from the promotion.
