Report: Jim Ross expected to miss AEW Double Or Nothing after hospitalization

Following his announcement on social media that he had “an unexpected trip to the ER” on Thursday, Jim Ross is reportedly missing the upcoming pay-per-view AEW Double Or Nothing.

Dave Meltzer reported per F4WOnline that the WWE Hall of Famer is dealing with the flu, raised heart enzymes, and breathing issues, noting that Ross is “getting excellent care and expects to be fine in a few days.”

The news comes after J.R. revealed in March that he signed a new one-year contract with the company, with his role focused on commentary for PPV events.

Double Or Nothing takes place Sunday, May 26 from the MGM Grand Garden ARena near Las Vegas, Nevada, and is available for purchase on a number of PPV providers including TrillerTV.

Wrestleview wishes Jim Ross all the best in his recovery.
