Thunder Rosa comments on “awkward” ending to post-match angle on 2/19 AEW Dynamite

During Wednesday’s episode of Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa commented on what has been called an “awkward” ending to a post-match angle that took place on the 2/19 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The segment saw Rosa run down and hit the ring to save Kris Statlander from a post-match attack by Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. However, Bayne and Ford seemed unfazed by Rosa’s run-in, even though she had a steel chair. Ford stood in front of Bayne, but neither of them backed down or ran out of the ring, as Rosa began to swing the chair at them. The in-ring segment ended with Bayne and Ford leaving the ring unfazed.

Fightful Select reported that a producer or coach did not properly direct the women on placement, as to where they needed to be in the ring during the segment.

Rosa said the following:

“You guys saw what happened. From that, I have learned so much. The takeaways I have as a performer are always ask questions. Be sure of what you’re doing in the segment. The segment didn’t go the way we wanted to, and it showed….there is no drama…we were all talking before the show and praising each other. We’re trying to be as positive as possible. I enjoy coming to work and I’m not the only one. Statlander was so supportive and nice. We were all going over stuff and receiving feedback. It was all positive. There is nobody trying to kill each other and stuff. There is no point. How are we going to grow if we’re fighting? Mistakes are made. It happened. We have to grow, we talked, and it was fine.”
