During a backstage promo on the third hour of the Dynamite/Collision special Wednesday night on TBS and HBO Max, Samoa Joe said he will be stepping away from AEW for a few months.
Joe said that “Opportunity calls – and Hollywood’s ringing.” Joe left Hook in charge of the group.
Joe is taking time off from AEW to film season three of the hit Peacock show, ‘Twisted Metal.’ Joe plays the role of Sweet Tooth, with Will Arnett providing voice over for the character.
