According to Fightful Select, Keith Lee’s return to AEW programming was discussed “a number of months ago.” However, it is not known if Lee was informed or not.
Fightful Select also notes that Lee has not been backstage at AEW television events, which is typically the start to being cleared to return.
Lee has not appeared on AEW programming since December 2023. He was pulled from that month’s Worlds End pay-per-view due to an undisclosed injury. Last June, Keith posted to social media that he was fine and that a return to AEW was not up to him. He then noted on another social media post that he would be making his return to the ring, but did not want to make a guess as to how or when.
Keith made his AEW debut back in February 2022 and has only wrestled 48 matches for the company.
