Pro Wrestling Illustrated announced on social media Wednesday, that current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has topped its annual PWI 500 list for 2022.
Reigns came in second place for 2021. This is the second time Reigns made it to the top of the list. He made the number one spot back in 2016. First place last year went to current AEW star Kenny Omega.
The evaluation period for this year’s PWI 500 is July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The criteria for ranking in the top 500 includes win-loss record, technical ability, influence in professional wrestling, success against the highest competition, success against the most diverse competition, and activity in the industry.
The announcement was also made during Wednesday’s edition of Busted Open Radio.
