WWE reportedly planning to hold PLE in December, same day as another wrestling PPV

According to Fightful Select, WWE is planning to run a premium live event on Saturday, December 10, which is the same day Tony Khan is holding the Ring of Honor Final Battle pay-per-view.

The report also notes that Saturday, December 10 is listed internally as a date for an NXT pay-per-view, which could be “NXT Deadline.” Back on October 15, WWE filed to trademark “NXT Deadline.”

It was further said some NXT talent and staff have been told to keep the December 10 date available.  It is not clear as to what time the NXT event would start. However, it is believed the NXT show will be sometime on Saturday night. The ROH Final Battle PPV bell time is at 4:00 pm ET/1:00 pm PT. The earlier start time for Final Battle is said to be due to the UFC holding their own PPV later that same night.

Final Battle, will be available on BR Live and traditional PPV through cable and satellite providers, with an expected price tag of $39.99 plus any applicable taxes and fees.

It was during the AEW All Out media scrum last month where Tony Khan responded with profanity when he was asked about WWE running premium live events on Labor Day weekend, with the first-ever Clash at the Castle event on Saturday an NXT show on the same day as All Out.

Khan responded with the following:

“When I compared myself to Jim Crockett Promotions this weekend, I think I got a taste of the same medicine Jim Crockett Promotions took, but I have a lot more f—ing money than Jim Crockett did…I’m serious. I’m not gonna sit back and take this f—ing s–t.”

We will keep you updated as we receive more information regarding a possible NXT show on December 10.
