AEW EVP Kenny Omega wins IWGP US Championship

Kenny Omega defeated Will Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Championship title for a second time. This was said to be an intense, bloody back and forth match. At one point in the match Omega gave Ospreay a DDT on the exposed ring turnbuckle, causing Ospreay to bleed heavily. Omega’s eye was also swollen shut near the end of the match. The finish saw Omega hit Ospreay with the kamigoye, Kota Ibushi’s finisher and then pin him with the One Winged Angel for the win.

This is Omega’s second run with the Championship. He became the inaugural champion back in 2017. Ospreay held the title for 200 prior to his loss to Omega.

WWE Superstar Karl Anderson loses NEVER Openweight Championship

Tama Tonga defeated WWE Superstar Karl Anderson to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion.

The finish of the match saw Tama Tonga hit Anderson with a gun stun off the middle rope, then connect with a second gun stun to win the championship for the second time.
