Comcast customers to lose free Peacock Premium subscriptions this June

According to several media outlets, Comcast Xfinity customers will have to start paying for Peacock Premium, beginning June 26.

The Philadelphia based cable giant has already been notifying customers their packages will no longer include a complimentary subscription to Peacock Premium.

NBC has told several media outlets that when the change takes place, eligible customers will be able to continue their service at a yet-to-be-announced discounted rate.

This change comes from Comcast’s decision late last year to end free Peacock Premium accounts for it’s customers. New Peacock users now have to sign up for the $4.99 Peacock Premium with ads or the $9.99 ad-free Premium membership in order to access NBC’s content, including WWE programming and it’s premium live events.

According to CNET, Peacock surpassed 20 million paid subscribers in 2022. CNET also notes DirecTV Stream offers Peacock to it’s customers for a discounted rate of $3 per month.
