According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE was said to have been very happy with Carlito’s return during Saturday night’s Backlash.
The report also notes several people backstage highlighted how much Carlito has matured since his last run in WWE. Sources within WWE noted the crowd’s reaction was “better than expected.”
Fightful Select concluded by saying that there have been numerous pitches within WWE over the past few years for Carlito to work only with run in segments or full-fime. However, Carlito’s appearance at Saturday night’s Backlash was a one-off.
