NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA took to Twitter to respond to an initial report of him having a potential match against CM Punk at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II PPV on June 25.
The initial report was first reported by Fightful Select.
KENTA and Punk have been in an ongoing feud over each using the same finishing move.
Punk is scheduled to return to AEW at the debut episode of Collision on June 17. He will team with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in a match against ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe, Jay White and Juice Robinson.
