According to PWInsider, former ROH star Chris Hero was backstage producing matches for Ring of Honor TV tapings. He was on a headset for several matches, including The Chicago Street Fight that closed the taping. Hero will be in for a few weeks after being suggested as a potential addition to the ROH production team by some of the other Producers, but is not in officially yet.
PWInsider also notes that Pat Buck and Sonjay Dutt were also backstage at the United Center working as Coaches/Producers. Jeff Jarrett was also backstage before the show handling behind the scenes work. Jarrett also filmed the promo backstage for the Concessions Stand brawl that aired during the show.
It was also noted by PWInsider that Ace Steel was in attendance at the show, watching from the Chicago Blackhawks family box. Steel was not backstage before the show. Instead, was said to be remotely producing and assisting on the creative side, but still traveled to the show this week on his own.
It should be noted Fightful Select had previously reported that Steel would not be in attendance backstage at Collision shows for the near future.
Newly hired former IMPACT star, Kevin Matthews was working behind the scenes assisting with all the logistics for the show, such as making sure the talents where they needed to be for different prior to and during the show.
PWInsider concluded by saying that after the show, backstage, it was very much positive across the board for the first episode and that the feeling was that it hit the mark in trying to feel different from Dynamite.
