WWE-UFC merger to be finalized next month

Endeavor noted in their second quarter earnings presentation, that the WWE-UFC merger plans to be finalized in mid-to-late September.

Once the merger is final, the two companies will be known going forward as TKO Group Holdings.

The merger between WWE and UFC and UFC’s parent company Endeavor was announced at the beginning of the April 3 episode of Raw by Triple H.

Back In 2016, UFC’s parent company, Zuffa, was sold to Endeavor. Then in 2021, Endeavor bought 100 percent of Zuffa.

The merger was initially scheduled to be finalized at the end of 2023.

Under the newly formed entity, Endeavor’s CEO Ari Emanuel will serve as the CEO of TKO Group Holdings and WWE controlling shareholder Vince McMahon will serve as the executive chairman of the new company.

Endeavor will own 51 percent and WWE shareholders will own 49 percent.
