The main event of a WWE live event in Rochester, Minnesota on 12/17 saw Seth Rollins defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre.
Following the match, Rollins made note of the mood being set and seeing the “fireflies” in the crowd before encouraging the fans to “light us up”:
Rollins stated “loved ones are always on our mind” during this time of year, referring in part to the show taking place one day after the late Brodie Lee’s birthday.
The moment felt like a clear tribute to both Lee (known as Luke Harper in WWE) and the late Bray Wyatt, the “fireflies” being in reference to fans showing their support for the latter with their phones at WWE events.
