Talks between WWE and Mercedes Mone’ reportedly done, expected to appear elsewhere

According to Fightful Select, talks between WWE and Mercedes Mone’ are reportedly done.

It is said Mone’ and WWE had been active with much back-and-forth negotiations regarding a potential return. However, however after talks fell through, WWE reportedly walked away from the discussions. Previous reports indicated Mone’ was asking for a bigger money deal than what WWE is paying Charlotte Flair with her new contract.

Fightful Select also noted that one source claims they believe Mone’ will end up appearing elsewhere very soon, but did not directly say where.

AEW has their Worlds End pay-per-view on Saturday night. However, as of this month, any working plans for Mone’ to sign with the company have said to no longer be a reality.

NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 PPV is January 4, as it has been said the promotion does have interest in bringing her back. Another option could be IMPACT as they rebrand back to TNA Wrestling officially at the promotion’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 13. The company is looking to make a splash and gain more viewers for their weekly show on AXS TV.

Mone’ has been out of action since severely injuring her ankle at the NJPW Resurgence held at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California back on May 21.
