MJF is reportedly expected to take time off following loss at AEW Worlds End

According to Fighful Select, MJF is expected to take time off from AEW, following his loss of the World Championship to Samoa Joe at the Worlds End PPV on Saturday night.

Fightful Select also notes that several sources they spoke with at the conclusion of the PPV, expect that MJF will be absent for quite some time from AEW programming. However, the publication said that his absence is expected to happen “almost immediately.” It was also said MJF has been dealing with several injuries, and that he wanted to see the storyline with the devil through until the end.

Furthermore, Fightful Select indicated that AEW has been giving MJF influence for his own creativity and that the company could insist that he stay on television.

The report concluded as it pertains to his contract, MJF has said that his current deal with AEW is up at the beginning of 2024. However, there are several sources from within WWE who have said no one in the company has talked with him. However, there are several in AEW that that believe he signed an extension with the company over a year ago and don’t expect MJF would actually admit to signing a contract extension.
