Drew McIntyre says he will ‘keep prodding at’ CM Punk

In an interview with ReviewSTL, Drew McIntyre talked about facing Cody Rhodes and CM Punk following the verbal confrontations he has had with both men.

McIntyre stated that Rhodes has “really risen to the top of the card as a crowd favorite,” but the former WWE Champion had a different outlook on Punk:

“CM Punk is the most controversial guy in wrestling, for sure. He made his return. Seems very positive right now, the crowd is certainly very positive, he’s a huge star. I’m going to keep prodding at him and see if he cracks. Hopefully, if he doesn’t, he gets in the ring with me and I’ll physically crack him. Easy peasy.”

All three men have entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match this year, where the winner will go on to main event WrestleMania.

WWE Royal Rumble takes place Saturday, January 27 from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida; the show starts at 8 PM Eastern and airs on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network internationally.
