Cameron Grimes reportedly is training top star for upcoming WWE Royal Rumble match

According to PWInsider Elite, Cameron Grimes is in Puerto Rico helping train Logan Paul to get him ready for his United States Title defense against Kevin Owens at Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble premium live event.

Paul defeated Rey Mysterio at last November’s Crown Jewel to win the United States Championship. Owens defeated Santos Escobar in the finals of the No. 1 contenders tournament to go on a challenge Paul at the Royal Rumble for the title.

The report also notes that since being called up from the NXT brand, Paul Levesque and other higher-ups within WWE have seen Grimes as a “slam dunk.” At last Friday’s WWE SmackDown the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Grimes and Stevenson had a dark match, with Steveson winning the match.

Grimes also worked with Cody Rhodes to help prepare him for his return to full-time in-ring action following his surgery and recovery from the torn pectoral muscle he suffered while he was training for his Hell in the Cell Match against Seth Rollins in June 2022.

The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble takes place on Saturday, January 27 from Tropical Field in St. Petersburg, Florida which is approximately 30 minutes outside of Tampa Bay. The even will stream live on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
