TKO Group Holdings appoints Dwayne Johnson to its Board of Directors

Per TKO Group Holdings on Tuesday morning, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has joined their board of directors. TKO is the company formed by Endeavor which merged WWE and the UFC.

Exact terms of the deal with Johnson were not disclosed. However, WWE added that it has also entered into a services and merchandising agreement with Johnson. Per a SEC filing, as reported by ESPN, under this new agreement, Johnson will provide to WWE promotional, licensing, and other services. It was further noted that Johnson also gains ownership of the trademarked name “The Rock” as part of an intellectual assignment agreement.

Ariel Emanuel, CEO of TKO issued the following statement: “I am thrilled to partner with Dwayne and welcome his immense talent to TKO’s BoardDwayne brings an incredible track record of creating content and building globally recognized consumer brands, and he will play a key role in realizing our ambitions for TKO.”
