According to PWInsider, Kevin Patrick has been released by WWE.
We reported this past Tuesday that Patrick was no longer the play by play announcer of WWE SmackDown.
WWE appointed Patrick as the play by play announcer for Raw back in October 2022. Then in August 2023, WWE moved Patrick and Graves to SmackDown, as Michael Cole and Wade Barrett were moved to Raw. Cole called both shows until earlier this month, when WWE made the change to just have Cole on Raw.
WWE thought at the time, that teaming Cole with Patrick would help Patrick grow as a broadcaster.
Kevin Patrick (Egan) first joined WWE back in March 2021. He was part of Raw Talk and also hosted the After The Bell podcast with Graves, until it ended in November 2023.
As of this writing, WWE has not made an official announcement.
