As first reported by Bodyslam.net and then Fightful, WWE has hired independent wrestler Patrick Scott to be a writer’s assistant for the WWE SmackDown creative team.

The reports further indicate that Scott will begin his new duties with WWE on Monday, February 26.

According to Fightful, Scott made his independent wrestling debut back in 2016 and trained in North Carolina at the Carolina Wrestling Academy. Scott had previously appeared back on the September 17, 2017 episode of NXT as part of a tag team enhancement match for Heavy Machinery’s Otis & Tucker. On the independent scene, Scott was also a tag team champion in DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling with Chance Rizer.
