Muhammad Ali announced as inductee into 2024 WWE Hall of Fame

WWE has announced that Muhammad Ali will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024, as first reported by Variety.

Considered one of the most iconic figures in sports history, Ali was a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic gold medalist in boxing and known for his charisma, confidence, and prowess.

Outside the “sweet science,” Ali was well-known in the world of wrestling and sports entertainment, initially competing in an exhibition match dubbed “The War of the Worlds” against WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki in Tokyo, Japan on June 26, 1976.

Following his retirement from boxing, the man known worldwide as “The Greatest” appeared as special guest referee for the inaugural WrestleMania during the main event, even getting involved with a signature right hand to one of its participants, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
