With news of his AEW departure still fresh, Ricky Starks has made his future clear and “Absolute” with an appearance on the 2/11 episode of WWE NXT.
Showing up in the crowd as commentary ran down the card for this weekend’s Vengeance Day PLE, Starks talked about the hottest brand needing the “hottest free agent right now.”
The former AEW World Tag Team Champion was reported to have been granted his release after not being utilized by the company for months, despite making appearances on the independent circuit and recently winning the DEFY World Championship.
He and fellow AEW departees Malakai Black and Miro were noted to have no non-compete clauses attached to their exit, making Starks free and clear for his appearance tonight.
NXT’s premium live event Vengeance Day takes place Saturday, February 15, emanating from the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
