Video: SNL uses Kane tombstone piledriving Linda McMahon for punchline

During the 3/8/25 episode of the Weekend Update Skit on NBC’s Saturday Night Night Live with Colin Jost and Michael Che, newly appointed Secretary of Education Linda McMahon being hit with the Tombstone Piledriver by Kane on the the July 21, 2003 episode of WWE Raw was used as part of a punchline.

With the image up on the screen, Jost used a quote from Linda who said, “kids’ test scores could go higher with education being returned to the states. Maybe as high as 69.”

The segment with Linda on the SNL Weekend update begins at the 1:31 mark of the video, which is embed below:

The segment with Linda and Kane received much criticism then, as it was clearly seen even from the side angle, that Linda’s head didn’t come close to looking like it hit the floor.

In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, Linda became involved in several storylines and angles, the McMahon Family became the main feature of WWE’s weekly TV and monthly PPV’s.

Last week, the United States Senate has confirmed Linda McMahon as the new Secretary of Education in Donald Trump’s Administration. She was confirmed with a vote of 51-45.
