Former WWE champion to challenge for the NWA Women’s World Title

NWA CEO Billy Corgan has announced that former WWE Women’s Diva, SmackDown and Tag Team Champion Natalya will challenge Kenzie Paige for the NWA Women’s World Championship at the 2025 Crockett Cup, which takes place on Saturday May 17 from 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Natalya defeated Miyu Yamashita at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII event, which took place at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada back on April 17. After being gone from WWE for three months, Natalya made her return on the September 9, 2024 episode of WWE Raw, teaming up with Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega, in a win over Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark).

The wrestling world’s been buzzing about Kenzie Paige. After a recent broadcast confrontation between the NWA Women’s World Champion and WWE superstar Natalya, NWA President and owner William Patrick Corgan has made it official.

Paige will defend “The Burke” against the WWE legend May 17 in The City of Brotherly Love. The epic clash is one of several key match-ups when the National Wrestling Alliance brings The 2025 Crockett Cup to Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

At over 600 days as Women’s World Champion, Kenzie Paige stands as the face of the National Wrestling Alliance’s hard-hitting women’s division. Natalya’s family legacy and contributions to the world of pro wrestling need virtually no introduction. They battle for the first-time ever May 17, when Natalya makes her NWA in-ring debut.
