We go right inside the venue as Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show!

Kenny Omega’s music hits, as we get ready for our first match of the night, with this 2.5 hour broadcast. We have a sold out venue and the crowd is already behind Omega, by chanting his last first name. Up next next is Bad Dude Tito.

Kenny Omega vs. Bad Dude Tito

The bell rings, as we are underway. Both men circle the ring inside as Tito kicks Omega and then lays rights into him. Tito his Omega with a forearm and then scoops him up and slams him down. Omega strikes back, going down hard and rolling to the floor. Omega leaps over the top and lands on Tito on the floor. He hi-fives the fans at ringside, then kicks Tito, who comes back and suplexes Omega on the floor. Tito slams Omega’s head on the apron. We get a “Let’s Go Kenny” chant. The action returns to the ring. Tito picks up Omega and slams him, covers him for only a two count. Omega tries to fight back, but Kenny comes back. Omega picks up Tito and drops him. Omega comes off the middle turn buckle, but Tito has the knees up. Tito suplexes Omega and covers him for a two count. Tito picks up Omega, but he gets out of the hold. Tito chops Omega repeatedly, then tells the fan he will rip Omega’s head off. Omega fires back and then connects on a running knee to Tito, covers him, but Tito won’t stay down. Omega runs the ropes and connects flush with another running knee. Omega picks up Tito and drops him with a one winged angel and covers him to get the pin.

Winner by pinfall: Kenny Omega

After the match, Omega has the mic. He says he asked himself a week ago what is the next plan of action. He says he could not make it in time for the Owen Hart Tournament. He said that he had a pre package delivered to his doorstep from Zach Sabre, Jr. Omega says not everyone will know who Sabre is, he will introduce him. Omega says Sabre is Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness mixed together. Omega says some people still consider him the best. Omega says he will see Zach at Forbidden Door, then says he will come after MJF. Omega closes with his cringe promo of good night..

We go backstage with Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis. Fletcher tells Davis that it is not his fault he is not in the Owen Hart Tournament final because of Konsosuke Takeshita. Fletcher says its time for revenge and time to bring the International Title back to the Don Callis Family. Okada comes in and tells Fletcher he is right, its time to do it. They shake hands.

Back in the venue, Hikaru Shida is out next and heads to the ring. Next up, Zayda Steel with Christopher Daniels.

Survival of the Fittest Qualifying Match: Hikaru Shida vs. Zayda Steel

The bell rings, as we brawl between the two women start. Steel turns her attention away for a moment, allowing Shida to get the advantage. Shida catches Steel and slams her head against the turnbuckle. Shida lays right hands into Steel as the fans count along. Steel is down in the corner. Shida grabs her, as Steel runs the ropes and takes down Shida. Steel is sent into the turnbuckle and then comes back with a knee on Shida. Steel connects with a front kick. Shida goes to the floor. Steel goes after her, but Shida comes back and hits Steel with a running knee lift. Shida grabs Steel by the neck and jaws at the camera.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from the break, Steel sends Shida down to the mat. Shida is on the outside. Steel runs the ropes and lands on Shida. Steel rolls Shida back in the ring and covers her for only a two count. Steel grabs Shida, but she fires back with a knee on Steel. Shida hammers Steel, who then tries to fight back. Shida hits Steel with a big forearm. Shida kicks Steel. Steel attempts to locks a submission like hold on Shida, but she rakes the eyes to break the hold. Steel rolls up Shida for a near fall. Shids slams Steel and covers her, but Steel gets the shoulder up at two. Shida drops Steel with a falcon arrow like move. Shida grabs Steel and bends the knee and tries to ties up Steel and then pulls on Steel’s arm, as she taps out.

Winner by submission: Hikaru Shida

After the match, Shida continues her attack on Steel. Christopher Daniels comes in to get Shida off Steel. Shida qualifies for Survival of the Fittest on July 1.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Back from the break, we go to Lexy Nair talking to The Opps. Anthony Bowens talks about how Samoa Joe has taught him violence. Hook tells Bowens they don’t care about applause. Shibata then says something in Japanese. Hook tells Bowens stop being in charge, he is not in charge. Bowens asks Hook what is problem is…Hook tells Lexy when she talks to The Opps, she talks to him. Bowens tell Lexy not to worry about Hook.

Back in the venue, The Rascalz make their way to the ring. The Atlas brothers are already in the ring.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) vs. Aaron and Austin Atlas

The fans chant Rascalz. Dezmond has a side headlock on Aaron. Wentz is tagged in as he bronco busts Aaron. Austin comes in as they double team him. Austin goes to the floor and Wentz hits Aaron with an On Fire Flame for the quick win.

After the match Dezmond has a mic and says the Rascalz are the hottest trio in all AEW. Wentz they introduces Myron Reed, who is challenging Kevin Knight for the TNT Title.

The Rascalz music hits again, as Myron Reed makes his way out, while he is embraced by Xavier and Wentz. Next up, the music of Kevin Knight, who makes his way out to the ring with Don Callis. Both men hug, as Callis then walks to the commentary table.

AEW TNT Championship Match: Kevin Knight defends against Myron Reed

The bell sounds as fans are booing Knight loudly. Reed pushes Knight to the corner, as the ref calls for a break. Both men lock up as we get a standing switch. Reed drops Knight. Both Knight kicks Reed, who goes down. Knight lays into Reed, who then goes to the apron. Reed attempts to take down Knight who ducks, then comes back and connects, sending Knight down. Reed takes down Knight, who rolls to the floor. Reed goes to the outside as Knight hits the ring and runs the ropes, but is hit with a cutter in the middle rope by Reed. Reed covers Knight, who kicks out at two. Reed chops Knight in the corner, but Knight the sends Reed into the corner an then lays big right’s into Reed. Knight covers Reed for only a two count.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from the break, Reed rolls up Knight, but he kicks out at two. Reed picks up Knight as tosses him, as both men go down. Reed is up as Knight staggers to his feet. Reed connects on Knight with a big thrust kick. Reed flatlines Knight and then covers Knight for only a two count. Knight goes to the floor. Knight makes it back in the ring, as he comes back and sends Reed down on his back and then connects with a spinning backbreaker. Knight covers Reed, but he kicks out at two. Knight goes to the top rope, but Reed is up quickly, as both men are on the top rope. Knight pushes Reed down on the ramp. Reed then in mid air, uses the top rope for cutter like move. Reed then connects with a second cutter on the top rope! Knight goes to the outside, as Reed leaps through the ropes and hits Knight with a cutter on the floor! Reed rolls Knight back in the ring and comes off the top with a huge splash! He covers Knight who gets him foot on the bottom rope keeping the ref from counting to three. Knight comes back, but Reed fights back. Knight then gouges the eyes of Reed. Knight picks up Reed and slams him down, but Reed counters and covers Knight for only a two count! Knight kicks Reed in the back as Knight then picks up Reed for a big crash landing on the mat. Knight covers Reed to retain.

Winner by pinfall and still TNT Champion: Kevin Knight

We go to a vignette with Divine Dominion.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Back from the break, we go to a vignette from Maya World talking about the sudden loss of her brother. She said that Tony Khan told her to take time off, but she wanted to keep wrestling. World calls out Athena.

We go backstage with Athena who says that she is really sorry about what happened to World’s brother, but what about her. Athena says that she taught World everything she knows. Athena says as cute as Worlds Cinderella story is, just because she is the it girl, doesn’t mean she is living in her world.

Back in the venue, Athena’s music hits as she makes her way to the ring. Tiara James is already in the ring.

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Tiara James

The bell rings as Athena backs up a bit. Athena nails James with a big forearm, sending James down. Athena lays into James in the corner. Athena tosses down James. Athena picks up James who fires back, but it angers Athena. James rolls up Athena for a one count. James again rolls up Athena for a two count. Athena sends James to the floor. James is back in the ring. Athena picks up James and rolls her up for a submission. James submits.

Winner by submission: Athena

After the match, Athena continues the assault on Athena. Maya World runs down to make the save, chasing off Athena. As World checks on James, Athena runs back in the ring and slams World face first on the mat and then pushes her head to the mat.

We go backstage with The Demand. Ricochet says that he has had many successes since arriving in AEW. He talks about a down that is losing the National Championship because he was forced to defend it in a battle royal. Ricochet talks about his wins over Jericho and then says he is coming after Takeshita.

We go backstage with The Dogs, who take out a stage manager before heading out to the ring.

The music of the Young Bucks hits, as the former AEW World Tag Team Champions make their way out and down to the ring.

Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

Finlay and Nick start. Conners blind tags Finlay. Nick sends Conners and Finlay to the floor. Nick leaps over the top, taking out The Dogs…the action is back in the ring. Finlay is tagged in and taken down by Nick. The Bucks sends Connors to the floor and double team Finlay in the ring. Conners comes back in as all four men are in the ring. The Bucks give us a double bulldog on The Dogs, who go to the floor. The Dogs walk on the ramp. Nick goes flying over the ropes, landing on The Dogs. Finlay sends Matt flying into the ring and takes down Nick with a flying shoulder tackle. Nick shoves Conners in the ring. Finlay then picks up Nick for a backbreaker. Finlay is superkicked by Matt. Finlay goes to the floor. Matt runs and lands on Finlay with a big flying crossbody on Finlay. Finlay recovers and picks up Matt, as Conners runs and drops Matt hard to the floor. The Dogs are in as Matt rolls back in the ring and is speared by Finlay. He covers Matt for only a two count!

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

Back from the break, Matt hits Finlay with a backbreaker and covers him for only a two count. Matt then rolls up Finlay again for a two count. The Dogs are down. Nick is tagged in. He takes down Finlay and then scoops up Conners and slams him down. Nick goes to the top and lands on Connors with a flying crossbody. Nick covers Connors for only a two count. Matt makes a blind tag. The Bucks double team Connors. Finlay comes in, but the Bucks come back double teaming him. Both Finlay and Connors are down. The Bucks are up on the top ropes and come down with double Swanton’s on The Dogs. We get double sharpshooters on The Dogs as the fans chant tap. Conners makes it to the bottom rope to force the break, as Connors is the legal man. The Bucks Superkick Connors. He comes back and hits the ropes, dropping the Bucks. Connors goes for a spear but is met with a superkick party. Finlay is then double superkicked. Conners is superkicked by Nick an the tombstone piledrived. Nick covers him for just a two count!.

The Bucks connect on Conners with a BTE trigger. Nick covers Connors, but Finlay makes the save. The Bucks go for a Meltzer driver, but as the ref is distracted Finlay hammers Matt with the shillelagh. As Matt is down, The Dogs double team Nick and then pick up Nick and slam him down as Conners covers him for the win.
