Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer leading ‘full bid’ for Hooters restaurants

Following a recent report from Business Insider, Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer has confirmed they are leading a “full-scale bid” to acquire all of Hooters of America, including restaurant operations.

Per the statement released to Wrestleview from Real American Beer:

In the past month, the Real American team has assembled a powerhouse group with deep experience in restaurant ops, real estate, brand marketing, and franchise growth. This is no longer about preserving nostalgia, it’s about unlocking the next era for one of America’s most iconic brands.

Key points:

  • Hooters filed for Chapter 11 in March with $376M in debt.
  • Real American’s bid includes a full operational rebuild: merchandise, real estate, and digital media included.
  • The team is focused on reigniting relevance with younger audiences and shifting the narrative around casual dining.
  • The bid puts Hogan & team in direct competition with an offer from Hooters Inc., led by one of the chain’s original cofounders.

CEO Terri Francis said it best: “This isn’t about preserving nostalgia. It’s about unlocking Hooters’ next era of growth.”

The news comes after the beverage company attached to the WWE Hall of Famer was reportedly submitting a bid to acquire the intellectual property of the restaurant chain.
