GCW has announced the promotion will host a WWE ID Showcase event on Friday August 1, during SummerSlam weekend. The event which is being billed as Summersmarsh, will take place from the Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey will see a start time of 4:00 pm local time and will also be available to watch live on TrillerTV+.
While no official matches have been announced, the event will feature Tim Thatcher, Kylie Rae, Marcus Mathers, Zara Zakher, The Vanity Project, Jack Cartwheel and more.
Tickets for the event are on-sale now.
The WWE ID program was created to scout and develop independent pro wrestlers, while providing them with a pathway to potential careers within WWE. It was launched on October 29, 2024. Additionally, the program offers training, development, and mentorship to selected wrestlers and wrestling schools.
