Becky Lynch talks balancing WWE and acting

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Becky Lynch talked about keeping a balance in her life between WWE and the various projects she has been a part of.

The former WWE Women’s Champion addressed being away from the ring before WrestleMania 41, allowing herself time to be with her family before “the acting roles came up,” referring to her roles in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and Happy Gilmore 2.

On the balance between acting, WWE, and life at home, Lynch said:

I don’t know that there is balance. Is there ever balance? I think the schedule now helps a lot. We do TV one day a week, we don’t have the live events that we used to. I mean, the beginning of this year was insane. We had a European tour. I was also filming Star Trek. We had Saudi Arabia, so that was pretty intense. But other than that, week to week is pretty easy.

We’re not gone very often. We’re gone for one sleep in her eyes, and yeah, and then the other stuff, you know, you just try to make it all work, wedge it in here. I mean, I need sleep.

The topic of the WWE road schedule comes as other talents on the roster (including Cody Rhodes) have expressed concern about the lighter schedule and its impact on the roster being in ring shape.

Elsewhere in the interview, Lynch addresses keeping the injury of Seth Rollins a secret and her thoughts on AJ Lee, ahead of their WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
