In an interview with Michael Cole posted to the WWE channel on YouTube, Roman Reigns addressed what his future could look like coming out of WrestleMania 42.
Stating that if he wins the World Heavyweight Championship, it will help bring the company back to relevancy, Reigns indicated that he doesn’t see a place for himself in WWE he loses to CM Punk in the main event of night two:
If I lose to CM Punk at WrestleMania, I don’t belong in the WWE anymore. I think if I were to lose on Sunday, I’d say my work is done.
It is believed that the former Undisputed WWE Champion’s contract with WWE is coming up soon after WrestleMania, but Reigns stated previously that he still feels like he has a lot to offer the company.
A similar tease was given by Pat McAfee in the build to Cody Rhodes taking on Randy Orton, promising to leave pro wrestling forever if Orton cannot win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Rhodes on night one.
WrestleMania 42 emanates from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise (Las Vegas), Nevada on April 18 and April 19.
