Former WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) are gone from WWE.
Woods and Kingston now appear on the alumni roster section of WWE’s website.
According to Fightful Select, F4WOnline and Bodyslam, Woods, Kingston and WWE all agreed to mutally part ways.
The New Day first appeared as a team back on the July 21, 2014 episode of Raw. They are 13-time tag team champions and are considered as one of the most popular and decorated teams in WWE history. They hold several records, including the most reigns as SmackDown Tag Team Champions at seven, and the longest-reigning Raw Tag Team Champions at 483 days. Woods and Kingston later brought Big E into the group.
Kingston first signed a development deal with WWE in 2006 and Woods had been with WWE since 2010, after coming over from TNA Wrestling.

JC Mateo (Jeff Cobb) and Tonga Loa are also among those who are gone from WWE and have now been moved to the alumni roster page on the company’s website.
Mateo signed with WWE back in 2025, making his debut at Backlash that same, aligning with Solo Sikoa. Before signing with WWE, he wrestled under his real name in NJPW and also made appearances in AEW.
Loa had previously wrestled in WWE under the name Camacho. He started in WWE’s farm territory – FCW back in 2009. He was moved to the main roster in 2011. After he left WWE in 2014, he worked for two years TNA under the name Micah and then went to Japan, before returning to WWE in 2024.

On New Day’s departure and the releases of Mateo and Loa, F4WOnline’s subscriber page, Bryan Alvarez also confirmed the cuts.
“New Day, Jeff Cobb and Tonga Loa among the confirmed cuts this morning. Last week one person told me New Day was cut but it didn’t happen. Turns out there were cuts made over a week ago but due to things that had to be worked out the names didn’t come out until today. Based on names I was given but could not confirm last night, I believe a few more have yet to be announced, one for sure.”
