AEW and NXT Ratings: Dynamite defeats NXT second week in a row in head-to-head airings

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for October 9, 2019 are now in.

According to the Wednesday cable ratings from showbuzzdaily.com, the second episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT last night drew an average of 1.409 million viewers.

Tru TV added 122,000 viewers. The combined number was down from the 1.409 million viewers from last week’s premiere episode on TNT.

This week’s episode of NXT, the fourth episode since debuting on the USA Network, drew an average of 790,000 viewers. This is down from last week’s 891,000 viewers.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

AEW Dynamite headlined by the start of the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament ranked #8 in viewership for 18-49 adults, while NXT headlined by WALTER vs. Kushida ranked #27 in viewership for the same age demographic.

It should be noted that the combined AEW number from TNT and TruTV was higher than the 790,000 viewers drawn by the NXT on USA Network television show.  AEW won the second week by 350,000 viewers.
