Having last competed in January, losing the Digital Media Championship to Joe Hendry in the process, it seems Matt Cardona may be done with Impact Wrestling for the time being, according to a new report from Fightful Select.
Cardona, having worked with the company for over two years without a contract, was reportedly happy with maintaining agreed upon dates with Impact, but preferring to stick to the handshake deal they had before. Impact, on the other hand, was reportedly much more interested in signing a deal for said dates.
Sources close to the situation have noted that there is no drama between the two parties, and that they are open to working together in the future.
