IMPACT Slammiversary promo teases Daniel Bryan, IIconics and Forgotten Sons

Newest IMPACT Slammiversary promo teases released WWE Superstars

The newest promo for IMPACT’s Slammiversary teases the arrival of Daniel Bryan, the IIConics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) and the Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler).

Last months promo featured quick images of recently released WWE Superstars Samoa Joes, Chelsea Green (as Laurel Van Ness) and Mickie James.

Daniel Bryan has not been seen on the April 30 episode of WWE SmackDown after failing to capture the WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns.  The stipulation was that if lost the match, then he would be “banished” from Friday Night SmackDown.

Following the match, several sources reported that Bryan’s WWE contract expired that night and that WWE was “pushing hard for him to sign a new deal”.  In past interviews, Bryan has said that he wants to do “unconventional work with and for WWE”. He has also said in those same interviews that he also wants to be able to spend more time with his family.

Twitter user @WrestlingCovers posted still shots of the promo on Twitter with “Yes!”, “Forgotten Sons, “Bullet Club” and “II”

The promos are similar to last year’s Slammiversay 2020 promos when IMPACT flashed quick images of Eric Young, Curt Hawkins, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Drake Maverick, EC3, Mike and Maria Kanellis who were all released last April by WWE as part of budget cuts WWE indicated was related to the (coronovirus) COVID-19 pandemic.

EC3 and The Good Brothers made their debut at last year’s Slammiversary, while Drake Maverick made his return to WWE.

IMPACT Slammiversary 2021 takes place live Saturday, July 17 live on pay-per-view from Skyway Studios in Nashville, TN.
