– The excitement for the first ever set of Ring of Honor TV Tapings for the Sinclair Broadcast Group is growing on a daily basis and we expect a packed house on August 13th in Chicago Ridge, IL! All three of the Ring of Honor championships will be on the line and the undercard will be a first rate set of matches that you will want to go out of your way to see. If you cannot make it to the Frontier Fieldhouse on 8/13 then you can catch all of the world class action starting in the month of September when the new Ring of Honor television program debuts. When September 24th hits, ROH will become the only wrestling promotion in the United States with a major, multi-market presence on broadcast TV and we plan to take full advantage of that. Be sure to check rohwrestling.com this Thursday when we announce Davey Richards’s opponent for the huge ROH World title match. Tickets for this 8/13 live TV Taping are available here, http://www.rohstore.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=201.

– Speaking of the ROH World Champion, Davey just got back from training at the legendary Snake Pit in Wigan, England. The Snake Pit is a famous catch wrestling gym that produced some of the toughest catch wrestlers in the world. Men such as Karl Gotch and Billy Robinson trained at the Snake Pit and now you can add our ROH World Champion to that prestigious list of wrestlers.

– The Briscoes are under the hot lights as far as ROH management is concerned (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/the-briscoes-onslaught/). They have been out of control on recent live events, and there is a genuine fear that the former 6-Time Tag Champions will run rampant in Chicago Ridge as well. ROH officials have warned the brothers to be on their best behavior, and have already issued fines for previous infractions. Will the threat of suspensions and heightened fines be enough to quell their violence?

– In Chicago Ridge news (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/a-second-title-match-set-for-chicago/), the 2nd of 3 title matches has been set for August 13th! ROH World TV Champion El Generico will make his first title defense against the recently returned Jay Lethal in a bout that will certainly put both men to the test. Generico/Lethal joins the Tag Title bout between WGTT & the KoW, so that leaves Davey Richard’s 1st ROH World Title defense to be finalized, and as stated above, that announcement is expected to come Thursday.

– “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin has officially signed for the August 13th television taping in Chicago Ridge, IL.

– Team ROH of Eddie Edwards & Delirious were successful in their first match in the NOAH 2011 Junior Heavyweight Tag League Tournament defeating Ricky and Rocky Marvin after Delirious pinned Rocky with the Bizzaro Driver. Delirious and Edwards have 2 points in the B-Block and will have their second Tag League match tomorrow in Yamagata as they face Atsushi Aoki and Kotaro Suzuki. We will continue to have updates on Team ROH as the tournament progresses.

– In regards to Pro Wrestling NOAH, ROH officials are currently in the process of setting up a stronger working relationship that could see the return of the NOAH stars in 2012.

– ROH officials have recently spoken to Steve Corino who gave his word that what happened at “Best In The World 2011” was something that he never expected and he regrets putting his faith in a certain person. Corino said that he loves ROH and does not want that incident to harm his future with ROH. Corino has pleaded with officials to allow him and Jacobs to appear on August 13th in Chicago Ridge and put that specific incident behind them so they can move forward. ROH officials have yet to make their final decision in regards to Jacobs and Corino but they want everyone to know that the person responsible for the incident is never allowed to be mentioned and anybody outside of ROH who associates with him should beware.

– The ROH “Spend & Save Sale” is on (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/spend-and-save-sale/)!
