NWS sent this in:

This past Saturday night July 30th, NWS returned to Carteret, NJ’s Holy Family/Divine Mercy Parish Hall for a Summer 2011 “Tag-O-Mania”, a night solely dedicated to tag-team wrestling. Sadly, the area fans did not feel the Mania, as the turnout was one of the lowest since last Fall, but those that did come out were loud and enthusiastic as they were treated to a great night of tag-team action.

MATCH #1: NWS Hardcore Champion “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & Chris Steeler vs. J.T. Highlander & “The Jersey Shore Madman” Slayer
J.T. and Slayer’s unpredictable styles kept the veteran duo of Havoc and Steeler at bay for most of the match, as they fought inside and outside the ring. But experience won out in the end, as Havoc pulled Slayer out of the ring to save Steeler from being double-teamed, and Steeler hit a Codebreaker-Jawbreaker combination on J.T. and pinned him 1-2-3.
Winners: “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & Chris Steeler

Before the next match, out came the duo of Steve “Monsta” Mack and international star Danny Inferno. They mocked the fact that they, the stars that they are, had to face a brainless one-time ECW star in The Zombie, whose scheduled partner, former WWE Hall-of-Famer Nikolai Volkoff, claimed to have “car troubles” and didn’t even show up. Commissioner Moore implied that, after having been defeated by Volkoff two weeks ago, Monsta Mack was responsible for the car troubles that had kept Volkoff from making it here tonight, and announced that Zombie had found a substitute partner who was a third-generation wrestler… none other than Bobo Brazil Junior (grandson of the legendary Bobo Brazil). Zombie and Bobo came out to great cheers, while Mack and Inferno were clearly stunned and retreated to the back.

MATCH #2: Team Thunderhorse (Indian Chief Draven & “The Warrior” Jack Spade) vs. The New Kidz On The Block (Tim Hughes & Leon Saint Giovanne)
The New Kidz made an impressive debut at the Tag-Team J-Cup a couple weeks back, and were ready top step up their game against the experienced duo of Draven and Spade. Draven and Spade asserted their strength advantage early, but Tim and Leon took advantage of miscues by Draven and Spade and fought back. Those miscues would cost dearly, as after Spade had been worked over by The Kidz for a few minutes, he managed to reach his corner, but Draven dropped to the floor and walked away disgusted with his partner. The Kidz took advantage and leveled Spade with a double-team side suplex and leg drop and covered him for the 1-2-3.
Winners: The New Kiz On The Block.

MATCH #3 – NWS TAG-TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Jersey Shore Jocks (Mike Dennis & Chris D’Andrea, champions) vs. Corvis Fear & “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie
It was evident from the start that the Jocks were not on the same wavelength tonight, as double-teaming attempts resulted in miscues and friction between the champions. J.D. and Corvis took advantage of the discord to double-team Mike Dennis in their corner, and made sure Chris D’Andrea was distracted on the outside when Mike went for a saving tag. Chris eventually tagged in, obviously angry at his partner, and J.D. and Corvis further took advantage with a low blow to Chris and more double-teaming. Mike eventually tagged himself in, took down J.D. and Corvis, but then walked out of the ring in disgust. Chris followed him out, and the two argued all the way back to the locker room, as the referee counted them both out.
Winners (by countout): Corvis Fear & “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie (Jersey Shore Jocks remain NWS Tag-Team Champions)

MATCH #4: Team Casanovas (“The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans & Damian Darling) vs. ACE star Mike Donovan & Nick Napoleon, with manager Carteret Little League Coach Angelo
Oceans and Damian wasted little time in dominating Donovan & Napoleon early on, double-teaming the less-experienced Napoleon in their corner for several minutes. But Napoleon fought them off and finally tagged in Donovan, who cleaned house on both opponents. Their momentum was interrupted as Steve Scott and Nick Talent ran into the ring and tried to attack Napoleon and Donovan, but were immediately tossed out. Oceans and Damian took advantage of the distraction and began double-teaming Napoleon once again, but while lifting Napoleon up for a double suplex, they swung him right into the referee’s head, knocking him cold. Donovan and Napoleon took advantage of that diversion and overpowered Oceans and Damian, taking them down with double DDT’s, but with no referee to count the pin. Just then J.D. Smoothie and Corvis Fear ran into the ring and attacked Napoleon and Donovan. Corvis took Napoleon down with an F5-suplex, rolled Oceans on top of him, then revived the referee who groggily made the 1-2-3 count.
Winners: Team Casanovas

After the match, Team Casanovas and their new-found allies continued the 6-on-2 attack on Napoleon and Donovan, until the forner ECW Zombie and Bobo Brazil Jr. ran out and chased the attackers from the ring. Monsta Mack and Danny Inferno also ran out to try and jump Zombie and Bobo, but they saw them coming and stopped them in their tracks, and Mack and Inferno eventually retreated back to the locker room.
During intermission. NWS celebrated some birthdays, and Johnny Falco helped NWS Commissioner Gino Moore celebrate his 72nd birthday.

MATCH #5: Too Hot And Dangerous (“Too Hot” Steve Scott & Nick Talent) vs. Team Mexico (Paco Libro & Manuel Manny Moore)
Scott and Talent may have wanted to use the match to stay near the top of the contender list, but Paco and Manuel seemed to just want to have fun, as they use their wild and unpredictable styles to keep Scott and Talent off their game. But the veteran duo eventually turned the tables and began double-teaming Paco. In an act of sheer desperation, Manny grabbed a “Hulk-A-Mania” shirt and put it on Paco. To the stunned delight of the crowd, Paco began “hulking up”, and he and Manny turned the tide against Scott and Talent, and leveled them with the familiar triple-punches & boots-to-the-head & legdrops. Manny then seemed to channel John Cena, and took down both Scott and Talent with shoulder tackles, followed by a “You Can’t See Me!” and a Ten-Knuckle Shuffle (five on Scott, five on Talent)! Scott and Talent eventually took out Manny, and then overpowered Paco with a double-team Codebreaker and got the 1-2-3.
Winners: Too Hot And Dangerous

MAIN EVENT – TAG-TEAM GRUDGE MATCH: Former ECW star The Zombie & Bobo Brazil Jr. vs. Steve “Monsta” Mack & Danny Inferno
Mack and Inferno claimed that without Volkoff, the match was not in their contract, and tried to leave, but Zombie and Bobo attacked them and dragged them back to the ring. The match started off with Mack and Bobo, and the big strong Mack apparently had met his match, as he could not knock down or even bodyslam Bobo. Mack then challenged Bobo to Thumb-Wrestle, figuring his hands had a strength advantage, but Bobo won that challenge by pinning Mack’s thumb. Inferno leveled a similar challenge to Zombie, but the thumb-wrestling match was thrown out when the hungry Zombie bit Inferno’s hand. Infuriated, Mack and Inferno theatened to walk out on the spot, but reconsidered when Commissioner Moore threatened to withhold their pay. The match resumed with Zombie and Inferno, and Inferno and Mack double-teamed Zombie for several minutes. But when Mack missed a flying splash on Zombie, Bobo tagged in and cleaned house, and he and Zombie took out Mack and Inferno with flying head-butts and covered them for the 1-2-3.
Winners: The Zombie & Bobo Brazil Jr.
