After what is being called our greatest event of all time earlier this month, NWA Smoky Mountain is returning to Kingsport, TN at the Civic Auditorium on Saturday, August 20th with an 8 PM Bell Time. This event is the 2nd Annual Morgan Memorial. 100% of Ticket Sales from this event will go to the American Cancer Society in the name of Chris Morgan. Chris was a high school classmate and friend of many of NWA Smoky Mountain Wrestlers. He passed away 2 years ago after a battle with brain cancer… Last year, NWA Smoky Mountain raised over $1200 for the charity… This year’s goal is to do over $2000.
In the Main Event of the evening will feature “The Battle of the Best” as “The Real Deal” Chase Owens w/ his new manager John Hawkins takes on Jason “The Gift” Kincaid in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match for, not only the NWA Mountain Empire, but to decide who is the best pure wrestler in the region… On Aug. 4th, Chase Owens put on the fight of a lifetime against ROH Champion, Davey Richards; While Jason Kincaid defeated rising ROH star, Kyle O’Reilly… People are calling the Owen/ Richards match one of the greatest matches in East Tennessee history. But since Jason won his match, he feels he should be considered the best and not his rival, Chase Owens.
