A second potential main event has been signed for EVOLVE 17 on September 8th in Voorhees, NJ at Flyers Skate Zone. It is El Generico vs. Samuray Del Sol III. Generico vs. Del Sol produced two incredible athletic, innovative matches on back-to-back nights at EVOLVE 14 and EVOLVE 15 in Florida. It ended with them tied at 1-1 and a mutual respect that led to a Generico/Del Sol tag team. However, EVOLVE officials feel the need for a tie breaker and to bring this amazing match to the Northeast. It will be Generico vs. Del Sol on September 8th and this will be the final match between them in EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA. There will be no rematch. Who will win the series?

It will be the returning Sami Callihan vs. the debuting Masada at EVOLVE on September 8th. EVOLVE officials were actually hoping to save this match and build it up in the future, but after the intense Book It Cam shot at CZW last weekend it is obvious this match needs to happen as soon as possible.

EVOLVE officials are currently in discussions on whether El Generico vs. Samuray Del Sol III or Ricochet vs. AR Fox should main event on September 8th. There will be an announcement by next week. What do you think? Use the social network buttons below to tweet us or leave a comment on which match should main event at EVOLVE 17.

We need to remind you that EVOLVE on September 8th will have an early 5pm belltime. Tickets are now on sale in the DGUSA.tv Store or by calling 267-519-9744. This is a double header with Combat Zone Wrestling, which will start at 8pm. Both events are separate tickets. This is a great chance to come in from out-of-town and catch two distinct brands in one day. The Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ is a great facility, located in South Jersey and just 10 minutes from Philadelphia. There are a limited amount of 1st row tickets left for EVOLVE at just $30 each so get them now for a day of wrestling you’ll never forget!

We are excited to announce that Christina Von Eerie of Mad Blankey has signed a contract with Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE. Von Eerie is set for tag team action this Friday at the SHINE live iPPV when she teams with MsChif to take on Taylor Made & Allysin Kay. Von Eerie is also scheduled to be at EVOLVE 17 in Voorhees, NJ. Why is Von Eerie coming back to EVOLVE? We’ll find out soon.

It will be Swann & The Super Smash Brothers vs. The Gentlemen’s Club of Chuck Taylor, Drew Gulak & Orange Cassidy at EVOLVE on September 8th.

Open The Freedom Gate Champion Johnny Gargano wrote this very personal and emotional blog this week. We hope you will take a few minutes and give it a read.

Gabe Sapolsky is clearing out his closet and putting some very rare ECW, ROH and Japanese merch up for sale/trade including a jacket given to him by Mitsuharu Misawa.

On a final note, DGUSA Mercury Rising 2012 iPPV has been updated to the DVD version with never-before-seen backstage promos, new edits and enhanced quality. This can’t miss show features Johnny Gargano vs. Masato Yoshino for the DGUSA Title and the annual six man tag team match with Masaaki Mochizuki, PAC & Ricochet vs. Akira Tozawa, BxB Hulk & Low Ki. If you have already ordered it, you can go watch the updated version now. You can purchase this iPPV here for unlimited On Demand access.
