EVOLVE 17 is right around the corner in just over 2 1/2 weeks and the card is really coming together. We have the updated lineup, a new Weekly Special, Gargano defends the DGUSA Title overseas and more in this DGUSA/EVOLVE Alerts. Let’s get to it….
The Open The Freedom Gate Title will be defended for the first time in the United Kingdom!!! Johnny Gargano will be putting the title on the line at the Fight Club: PRO event on August 24th in Wolverhampton. Gargano continues to be a tremendous ambassador for Dragon Gate USA as he builds the prestige of the title worldwide.
It will be Johnny Gargano vs. Jon Davis in a non-title match at EVOLVE 17 on September 8th in Voorhees, NJ at The Flyers Skate Zone. This is a first class facility that is an easy drive from all points in New Jersey, New York City and it is just over the bridge and 10 minutes from Philadelphia. DGUSA officials did find it odd that Davis never petitioned for this match at EVOLVE 17 to be a title match. Davis has stated that if he loses he will walk away from wrestling. Davis has promised additional comments soon.
Christina Von Eerie vs. Marti Belle in a SHINE Showcase Match has been added to EVOLVE 17. This was announced on the SHINE 2 iPPV last Friday.
EVOLVE officials are having a hard time deciding whether El Generico vs. Samuray Del Sol III or Ricochet vs. AR Fox should be the main event and in the show title of EVOLVE 17. What do you think?
