A Fighting Champion… A battle between friends… Tag Team Warfare
With the beginning of our next season just weeks away, we have several sure to be exciting matches to kick things off properly.

Over the summer, C*4 Management was contacted by the new C*4 Champion, “Ronin” Josh Alexander. Alexander told C*4 that as the new champion, and new leader of the promotion, he envisioned a much different direction than the former champion, Stu Grayson, and his Authority cohorts.

Alexander told C*4 management that as somebody who literally climbed the from the bottom of the card to make it to the top of the promotion, he is somebody who had to earn everything he got. From his time as a tag team competitor, along with the likes of “Psycho” Mike Rollins, Rahim Ali, and “MVP” Michael Von Payton, to his massive winning streak in season 5, which brought him to Championship contention, Alexander fought for it all.

The “Ronin” told C*4 management that his reign will be one as a fighting champion, and one who welcomes all challenges. Alexander stated that his reign will be one of opportunity, and chances that he was never given.

As such, Alexander told C*4 management on that Friday Sept. 14th, at “A Better Tomorrow”, he wants to give the chance he never had to three men who all burst on the scene in Season 5.

First up, a young man who returned to professional wrestling in the last year, and debuted in C*4 this season, after having disappeared for several years following his early career on the independent scene in Quebec. A young cruiser-weight with tons of potential and ability, who could not only win this match but jump to the very top of the roster – Jagger Miles.

Next up, a man who also broke out in Season 5, specifically after several battles with the above mentioned Jagger Miles… A young competitor from Ajax, Ontario, who travelled to Calgary Alberta Canada, to train under Lance Storm, to better his already solid abilities. A man, who is known for both his tag team abilities, as much as his singles skills… The quick and dangerous, “Rocksteady” Alex Vega.

Lastly, an unorthodox competitor who has climbed the rankings at a rapid rate in C*4 and beyond, as well as finding a groundswell of fan support along the way. The final challenger on Sept. 14th for Josh Alexander’s championship is “Dirty” Buxx Belmar.

Alexander has welcomed these competitors to challenge for a belt he fought for nearly three years to get. His first challengers are three unlikely people, and it could be argued that he is requesting three men who don’t stand a chance of taking his title. However, it could also be the case that Alexander honestly wants what is best for the company, and offering his shot to three worthy, if unlikely, is the route that is needed following the tyranny that came with the possession of the belt by Grayson. However, has he bitten off more than he can chew?

Next up a match between two of C*4’s most popular stars, in what could be friendly competition or something else entirely.

On Saturday June 16th, 2012, “Speedball” Mike Bailey’s chances of C*4 Championship victory was cut short. Not because he was pinned or submitted, or not because his spirit was unwilling – Bailey’s chances were cut short after an accident left him dazed, and with a shattered nose.

Early in the Six Way Championship match at CTL5, Bailey’s friend and sometimes partner, “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea, delivered a back elbow to Bailey, which lead to the aforementioned injury. As such, Bailey fell out of the ring, blood gushing from his face, and was assisted to the back, where medical staff made the call that he could not continue in the match.

Since then, O’Shea has not addressed the injury, and according to Bailey, he hasn’t heard anything from him on the matter. O’Shea is only willing to say that “it happens”, when C*4 management told him about the situation.

At Fighting Back 2, Bailey made his first appearance in over two months, to fight unsuccessfully in a bid to become the first ever Fighting Back Champion. Bailey told C*4 matchmakers following this that he was ready to step back into the ring on Sept. 14th.

Bailey also requested that his first match back would be with the man who accident or not, stopped him from becoming C*4 Champion. On Friday Sept. 14th, “Speedball” meets “The Hacker”.

Lastly for today, a huge, first time ever, tag team encounter.

On one side of the ring, the current C*4 Tag Team Champions, Lionel Knight and Christopher Bishop, collectively known as Checkmate. A team which debuted in C*4 last season, and climbed straight to the top of the tag team rankings. Once they reached the championship pinnacle, they never looked back.

Standing opposite them, is a determined team, who scored a monstrous win in June, and are looking to capitalize on it. Having been associated with C*4 Champion, Stu Grayson, during Season 5, Mathieu St. Jacques, and Thomas “Pipes” Dubois, are looking to claim gold of their own.

At “Crossing the Line 5”, the dominate Quebecois duo shocked the crowd by scoring a clean win over Franky the Mobster, and ROH World Champion, “Mr. Wrestling”, Kevin Steen.

Dubois and St. Jacques, representing The Authority, will be in action and looking to make up for their leader’s loss in June, as well as claim gold for themselves.
