RETUNS FOR FOURTH SHOW NEXT WEEKEND
PROGRESS Wrestling is delighted to confirm the final card for their fourth show, Chapter
Four: The Ballad Of El Ligero, next Sunday 25th November.
Since the launch of PROGRESS Wrestling in March this year, the company has rapidly
gained a fiercely loyal following from pro wrestling afficionados around the country and
abroad, with fans travelling from as far afield as Edinburgh, Dublin and even Brussels to
experience the unique atmosphere and top-quality professional wrestling that PROGRESS
presents.
75% of all tickets were sold within 48 hours of going on sale – now only standing
tickets are available for the event.
The headline match for next weekend sees the conflicted Mexican luchador EL LIGERO
challenge the arrogant but talented PROGRESS Champion, NATHAN CRUZ, for the title.
The card also features MARTY SCURLL (from ITV’s ‘Take Me Out’), DAVE MASTIFF,
JIMMY HAVOC and NOAM DAR, amongst others.
In attendance will also be students from the newly-launched PROGRESS Training School
(nicknamed ‘The ProJo’). Teaching complete beginners and those with prior experience,
the Training School runs every Saturday at Somers Town Community Centre in Camden
and has already proven to be very popular.
PROGRESS Wrestling is the brainchild of award-winning stand-up comedian Jim
Smallman, and entrepreneur Jon Briley. Both are long-time wrestling fans, and had always
talked about putting on a show featuring the best performers around; in Summer 2011 they
stopped talking about it, and put the wheels in motion to actually make it happen.
Their aims are simple:
– to showcase the amazing talent working in the UK wrestling scene
– to evolve the public’s perception of wrestling from the 1970s and 80s ‘World Of Sport’ era
– no kids!
– affordable tickets
– to put on great wrestling for fans, by fans, in front of a loud and insane crowd.
