1) Mathieu St. Jacques d. Brent Banks via a school boy w/ a hand full of tights.
Match Notes: Brent Banks debuted a brand new customized theme song.
Post-Match: An infuriated Banks verbally berated Referee Morningstar about missing the cheating tactics of his opponent and subsequently shoved him. The long time fan favourite yet again ended a Smash Wrestling contest by being booed on his way out the ring.

2) Myles of Action d. Jack Rushton/Weapon X via a top rope elbow by Jackson.

Post Match: This makes it two shows where Dux and O’Shea went to a draw. Thereafter, Kevin Steen came out and attacked Scotty O’Shea. Steen spoke about his personal dislike and jealousy for O’Shea. After Gargano came out the odds were made even and set the stage for the main event.

5) “Rocksteady” Alex Vega d. “Psycho” Mike Rollins via a reverse springboard flatliner.

6) The Overdogs w/ Seleziya Sparx d. 3.0 via Suave nailing Matthews with Sparx’ shoe and a subsequent combination by Alexander & Suave.
Match Notes: Sparx got involved one too many times and at one point ended up being the third recipient of a boston crab submission by Shane Matthews.

7) “The Whole Shebang” Johnny Gargano & “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea d. “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen & “Cyborg” Tyson Dux via a series of kicks and a pin by Gargano on Steen.
Match Notes: All four men brawled across the venue for the first 10 minutes using all types of weapons imaginable. O’Shea also hit a moonsault off the venue bar to a loud ovation.
Post Match: Gargano and O’Shea thanked the crowd for coming out as the crowd showed their appreciation for both men.

*We want to sincerely thank all the fans that came out and made this a special evening. The Smash Wrestling team was overwhelmed by all the great fans.
*Kevin Steen severely injured his back the previous night and had no business getting in a ring on January 6. Backstage, he had trouble getting up from a chair or walking. He still went out there and gave everyone a hell of a show. Kudos and our utmost respect to Steen for doing what he did.
*Continue to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and anywhere else for the releases of our event highlight reel, post-match promos, AGS DVD release and much more!

Tell us what you liked? How was your experience? Was it anyone’s first Smash Wrestling show? Any wrestlers or matches stand out? Would you come back? Every feedback is read. We CARE about what you say!

Australasian Wrestling Federation explodes into 2013 with “New Year’s Revolution” Live Pro-Wrestling emanating from Penrith Panthers Evan Theatre on Friday 18 January at 8pm.
AWF’s premier pro-wrestling talents such as Australasian Champion “Iron” Ben Coles, Commonwealth Champion Blakestone, and AWF Tag Team Champions “The Beasts of The Colosseum” are all pumped up and excited to be coming to Penrith to defend their championships against the top contenders in a card that is sure to set the scene for an exciting 2013.
The main event of the evening will see former 6 time Australasian Champion, and Shalvey resident TNT, challenge Iron Ben Coles for the AWF Australasian Championship. TNT and Coles had an up and down 2012, however have remained team mates through much tension, and the big Championship bout at Panthers will put this to the ultimate test. TNT commented ” I am excited to be coming to Penrith to contest for the AWF Australasian Championship, and hope to walk away as 7 time Australasian Champion. My momentum is strong with a recent string of victories here in Australia and in Thailand. All bombs will be dropped at Panthers as part of this world class level Championship bout. I advise fans of combat sports and competition to be on hand, as this will be a battle that will be memorable for many reasons. May the best man on the day walk away as Champion, and the fans win also.”
Iron Ben Coles who has held the Australasian Title for over two years now commented “Penrith on 18 January will be a real kick start to 2013. I will battle my team mate, and mentor in a bout where the Australasian Championship is on the line. I have been training like a machine for this bout, and this will be a great opportunity to showcase why I have been AWF Champion for the last two years, and prove to TNT and the fans why 2013 will be even bigger and better for Iron Ben Coles.”
Along with the main event Australasian Title bout, there will be also be other exciting bouts that would be often main event on any other card held in Australia.
New Commonwealth Champion Blakestone will battle “Mad Turk” Hussain in Championship action pitting two of AWF’s most muscled competitors against each other for the very first time.
The AWF Tag Team Titles will be defended in a bout that has been brewing for many months as the Island Tribe challenge Champion’s The Beasts of the Colosseum.
The popular Magnum Holmes will look to close the case on Freddie Falco’s recent string of victories, as the two battle over the Young Lion’s Championship.
In another bout that will be of interest to many, the brutality of Jay Law, will muscle up to the old school strength of Concrete Davidson, which will be an interesting contest to say the least.

All of this plus more preliminary bouts and surprises are scheduled in this huge live pro-wrestling extravaganza. Don’t miss this huge 2 hour plus all ages event to kick start 2013.
