Minoru Suzuki to miss the New Japan Cup Finals and Dominion due to high fever

Minoru Suzuki develops high fever

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Minoru Suzuki will not be present at the New Japan Cup or Dominion events on July 11 and 12 due to developing a fever.

The press release states that Suzuki, who was last in action on July 3, was given a Coronavirus antibody and antigen test, both of which were negative. Since then he has had no contact with other wrestlers. It is being stressed that this is a cautionary measure.

Suzuki will be replaced by Yoshinobu Kanemaru in an 8-Man Tag Team Match set to take place at the New Japan Cup Finals on July 11.

On July 10, Minoru Suzuki developed a fever, and as a cautionary measure, will not be present for the New Japan Cup or Dominion events on July 11 & 12.

Since wrestling on July 3, where Coronavirus antibody and antigen testing all showed negative, Suzuki has had no contact with any other wrestlers.

As a result of Suzuki’s absence, the following change has been made on tonight’s New Japan Cup final card:
