STARDOM founder announces new promotion in Japan

Rossy Ogawa, founder of the Japanese women’s promotion STARDOM, formally announced his new promotion in a press conference.

The news comes after Ogawa’s firing from STARDOM in February over concerns of talent poaching.

The presser unveiling DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold introduced the company’s first seven wrestlers, five of whom were previously in STARDOM.

The promotion announced its first tour at the conference, with the first event “Marigold Fields Forever” taking place on 5/20 from Korakuen Hall, featuring English and Japanese commentary when it airs live on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The main event sees Giulia, who was recently reported to be joining WWE following a short stint with the new promotion, facing Sareee (formerly Sarray in NXT) in a tag team bout with mystery partners on both sides.

In addition to the seven wrestlers named, six competitors from the promotion Actwres girl’Z have been added to the talent pool alongside three foreign wrestlers joining Marigold for the first tour.
