New Japan cancels “Wrestling Hinokuni” PPV that was set for April 29 in Kumamoto due to recent tragic earthquakes in the city, update on card slated for tomorrow

On Monday, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that their April 29th PPV, “Wrestling Hinokuni” in Kumamoto, Japan will be canceled due to the recent tragic earthquakes over the past week in the city that saw well over 1,000 people injured and 42 dead.

The card was set to be headlined by an IWGP Intercontinental Title match between champion Kenny Omega and Michael Elgin, a 8-Man Tag Team Elimination Match between CHAOS and Los Ingobernables de Japon and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bad Luck Fale.

New Japan stated in the announcement that there would be an update on how they would handle the matches announced for the show going forward on Tuesday.
