Video: Dana White says potential Daniel Cormer vs. Brock Lesnar fight is still an unknown

TMZ Sports recently spoke with UFC President Dana White (above) about what is next for current UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

When the subject of Brock Lesnar was brought up as Cormier’s next fight, the UFC President didn’t seem to have an answer if that fight was still happening.

“I don’t know. We don’t know that either yet. I would obviously like to see Jones and Cormier fight again at Heavyweight, but, right now, Cormier’s team wants him to retire right now. I hope we can get three more fights out of him.”

Just a few weeks ago at UFC 230, Joe Rogan stated that Lesnar was likely the next fight for Cormier in the octagon and Cormier, with a smile, invited Lesnar to bring that “brand new WWE Title” because he also felt like being a WWE Champion too.

According to the official USADA website, Lesnar has been tested six times after re-entering the testing pool earlier this year. Lesnar began testing again for a potential return to the UFC after confronting Cormier at UFC 226 back in July.

A recent report indicated that Lesnar agreed to terms on a new deal with WWE, just shortly before his prior deal was set to expire at the Crown Jewel PPV. The short-term deal is believed to have locked Lesnar in with WWE through WrestleMania next year.

The new agreement with WWE does allow for Lesnar to fight for UFC.
