Former WWE star Jake Hager (aka Jack Swagger) recently spoke with Brendan Schaub (above) on “Below The Belt” to talk about his MMA debut this Saturday night.
Hager will be making his professional mixed martial arts debut against J.W. Kiser (0-1-0) on Saturday at Bellator 214 from Inglewood, California.
In the interview, Hager talks about making the transition from pro wrestling to MMA and specifically the stigma that former WWE stars get making the move. Schaub specifically mentioned the unsuccessful attempt by CM Punk in the UFC and how Hager has a legitimate amateur wrestling background prior to becoming a pro wrestler.
Hager also took part in some sparring in a media workout this week as well.
